And you don't tell your child's daycare that she's got whooping cough. Or so it would seem!

Turns out that Maggie doesn't have whooping cough after all, she's just got croup! But that correction wasn't made for me until AFTER I'd called the daycare to explain why she wouldn't be in today.

Apparently a kid getting whooping cough is something the owner of the daycare has to report to the state, so she was alarmed to find Maggie being dropped off by her dad this afternoon! She'd already called "the state" to report it, and was going to get back to them to call off the hounds of whooping-cough-ery -
